AI Transparency

YourGolf uses AI to enhance your experience with optional features. All AI features are: • Voluntary - you choose when to use them, and the platform works fully without them • Transparent - AI-generated content is clearly labeled as such • Low-risk - none of our AI systems make automated decisions with legal or significant effects on users • Privacy-respecting - your data is processed only to generate responses for you and is not used to train AI models

Under the EU AI Act, AI systems are classified by risk level. All of YourGolf's AI features fall into the minimal risk or limited risk categories: • No high-risk AI systems - we do not use AI for profiling, scoring, biometric identification, or automated decision-making that significantly affects users • No prohibited AI practices - we do not use subliminal techniques, exploit vulnerabilities, or perform social scoring • Limited risk transparency obligations - we clearly label all AI-generated content so users know when they are interacting with AI

Purpose: Answer questions about the YourGolf platform and help users navigate features. How it works: • Uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) - searches a knowledge base of platform documentation to find relevant information, then generates a response • Powered by Anthropic Claude (language model) and OpenAI (text embeddings for search) • Available in the Player app, Pro app, Pro web portal, and Club Admin portal Data processed: • Your chat messages (to generate responses) • Conversation history within the session (for context) • Your locale/language preference Data NOT processed: personal profile data, booking history, payment information, or video content. Classification: Limited risk (AI-generated content clearly labeled). No automated decisions.

Purpose: Provide AI-generated coaching insights based on your golf round statistics. How it works: • You submit a completed round for analysis • Anthropic Claude analyzes the statistical data and generates coaching suggestions • Identifies patterns in your play (tee shots, approach, short game, putting) Data processed: • Round statistics: scores, fairways hit, greens in regulation, putts, penalties per hole • Course information (name, par) • No personal data beyond your round numbers Classification: Minimal risk. Informational only - suggestions do not constitute professional instruction. Clearly labeled as AI-generated.

Purpose: Entertainment - AI-generated humorous or encouraging commentary on your golf round. How it works: • "Seamus" provides witty, honest feedback in the voice of a fictional Irish pub owner • "Laura" provides warm, encouraging feedback in the voice of a fictional British mentor • Both are powered by Anthropic Claude (text generation) and ElevenLabs (voice synthesis) • This is a premium feature requiring credits Data processed: • Round statistics (same as Round Analysis) • No personal or sensitive data Classification: Minimal risk. Entertainment feature with no decision-making impact. AI-generated nature is inherent in the feature design (fictional characters).

Purpose: Convert coach voice notes to text for lesson documentation. How it works: • Coach records a voice note during or after a lesson • OpenAI Whisper converts speech to text • Anthropic Claude summarizes the transcription into structured lesson notes Data processed: • Audio recording of coach's voice note • Only the coach's spoken content - no student audio is recorded Classification: Minimal risk. Factual transcription with no interpretation or decision-making.

We use the following AI service providers: Anthropic (Claude) - San Francisco, USA • Used for: text generation (chatbot responses, round analysis, character feedback, transcription summaries) • Data processing: your prompts are sent to Anthropic's API; responses are returned to you • Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models • Privacy: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy OpenAI - San Francisco, USA • Used for: speech-to-text transcription (Whisper), text embeddings for knowledge base search • Data processing: audio or text sent to OpenAI's API for processing • OpenAI does not use API inputs to train their models • Privacy: https://openai.com/privacy ElevenLabs - New York, USA • Used for: text-to-speech voice generation for character feedback audio • Data processing: generated text is sent to ElevenLabs for voice synthesis • Privacy: https://elevenlabs.io/privacy All providers process data under data processing agreements. No provider retains your data beyond what is necessary to fulfill the API request.

Regarding AI-processed data, you have the right to: • Know when you are interacting with AI - all AI features are clearly labeled • Opt out - all AI features are voluntary; you can use YourGolf without them • Access your data - request a copy of data processed by AI features • Delete your data - request deletion of AI-processed data (chatbot conversations, round analyses, transcriptions) • Human review - if you believe an AI feature has produced incorrect or harmful output, contact us and a human will review it Contact: privacy@yourgolf.io
